Your health and safety is our overriding concern when operating lifting equipment supplied by GGR. We are the first supplier in the market to provide an accredited training and assessment programme for mini spider cranes, either onsite or at our dedicated training facilities in Manchester and Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire.

The training programme is carried out by experienced RTITB and CPCS instructors and has been developed in conjunction with UNIC Cranes Europe, the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS), plus leading members of the plant hire and construction sectors.

The A6 CPCS qualification is designed to provide the required operational skills from which the new operator can safely and successfully demonstrate their knowledge, safety and experience. The training programme includes the following elements:

• Operator role and responsibilities
• Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental (Lifting Operations)
• Lifting principles, crane construction and terminology
• Lifting operations regulations and guidelines
• Pre-use checks and preparation for work
• Travelling and manoeuvring
• Configuring for lifting duties
• Lifting and placing loads using full radius and slewing capabilities
• Technical written test
• Practical test

Successful achievement of the programme will lead to CPCS registration for the category of Compact Cranes (Static-Stabilisers).
